Colonel Lex Lothario
Class Description-This two-day class takes a rooster lothario from a simple line drawing and develops him into a bird with a definite southern charm. Lex has a questionable military history and numerous romantic accomplishments. His family breeding has developed a coloration approximating the colors of a Black Eyed Susan. The Colonel is posed on a field of blue grass and surrounded by a border of Black Eyed Susans. There are straight, diagonal, compound, complex and decorative stitches put together in a workable manner to bring this bird to his full glory. Overdyed threads are manipulated as needed to do what the student wants and as the piece requires. Threads are padded, laid and manipulated to achieve these results. The end result looks much more complicated that it is! We will work through this project so the student will be able to better work through their next project on their own.
